THE ULTIMATE FILTER SYSTEM : TRICKLE BY DESIGN

Q.K. TRICKLE FILTER SYSTEMS are designed to work extremely well on any garden

or Koi pond and are used by us on highly stocked commercial ponds. They give

maximum filtration using the minimum of space. They are easily and quickly maintained

with the minimum of fuss. The Q.K. filters are a very efficient system. The

medium is called Perlag, a volcanic lava rock that is completely inert and very porous,

this enables vast numbers of bacteria to form and live in an extremely small area.

The Q.K. filter is designed to let all the water flow from the filter as quickly as it is fed

in, therefore the medium is never immersed in water - the water percolates straight

through and back to the pond. This enables the bacteria activity to take place on all

the medium, not just in the top 3" surface areas, as in the conventional filter units.

Filtering in this manner allows a valuable oxygen supply at all times as the oxygen

supply is from the surrounding air.

If the filtration stops for some reason the bacteria will continue to flourish whilst the

medium is still moist for up to 8 weeks. On the conventional filters the bacteria will

start to die after approximately 6 hours. If one of our ultra violet sterilizers is installed

along with one of our Q.K. filter systems we will guarantee you a biologically sound

and crystal clear pond all the year round. These systems are in use all over the

country and have given good results over many years.

All our systems are easy to install and maintain. They provide mechanical removal of

debris before biological filtration through the porous filter medium that degrades ammonia

and nitrites. Feed is from the top and gravity back to the pond.

NEW IMPROVED Q.K. ECO TECH TRICKLE FILTER SYSTEM: for Koi ponds.

Designed and used by Quality Koi Company since 1986. These units are very compact,

of British racing green fibreglass construction with one biological filter chamber.

The biological medium used is Perlag (a volcanic lava rock) with a pre filter of polyester

filter wool.

For Koi Ponds up to 500 gallon (2250 litre) 12"x18"x13" high + U.V.
